In celebration of our engagement, we have decided to have our photos taken by Sweet Escape. Thomas and I went to Hua Hin for a quick weekend getaway at Aleenta Resort and had the photo shoot by the beach.
It was so easy to book the appointment from the Sweet Escape App. We picked a time that will not be too hot and crowded. But the weather went bonkers few minutes before the scheduled time. To add to that, my stylist did not come on time so I had to settle for a come-as-you-are look. My hair wasn’t anywhere near of cooperating with me so flip it. LOL!
Good thing the rain stopped at exactly 8.00am and the sun was bright and shining. We started to take photos and it’s one of the most awkward experiences. LOL. I like having my photos taken for my Instagram posts but never with a professional photographer. I was super shy! But then, having Thomas around and after a while, we got used to it — and we just had fun and went on with our natural ways with each other. Thank goodness for a sweet fiance! All I did was giggle and got a lot of kisses.

Here’s a thing (or two) I learned from this experience — I learned to let things go even if things don’t go as planned, no expectations comes in great surprises too! I was actually thinking that I won’t look good in the photos because of the lack of styling; especially my hair. But seeing the final results, it wasn’t so bad! Thomas kept telling me don’t be too hard on yourself and it’s true. I really appreciate all the photos we have. It’s natural, it’s us, and it’s surprisingly how we wanted it to be. Not overly curated and dramatic. I love its simplicity and how it emanates the love we celebrate.

What a beautiful pitures … I wanted something like that too, but unfortunately it did not happen … now regret it afterwards. Of course beautiful wedding photos, but this was certainly on my wish list …
