T+K in Paris - Kameeluh

T+K in Paris

When Thomas and I just started dating, he already brought up the idea to me that he wanted to bring me to Paris. Since I haven’t been there, he insisted that I don’t make any plans for my 30th birthday so we can pursue a trip to France. After more than a year of discussing and daydreaming about this little European holiday, it finally came true!

Thomas and I met up in Paris to celebrate my birthday week — couldn’t have thought of any better way to celebrate with the one I love in the city of lights and love (insert cheese here. Hahaha!) I prayed so hard that this trip will be happy and memorable. True enough, my prayers were answered! Even more than what I asked for. I feel so blessed that I have been given the chance to experience all the wonderful sights and things we’ve seen and done. We visited not only Paris but Rome as well (which I will cover in my next post).

Few of the things we’ve done for this trip are:

  1. Take photos with the Arc de Triomphe
  2. Go up close the Eiffel Tower
  3. See the Louvre
  4. Attend a Sunday Mass at the Notre Dame de Paris
  5. Appreciate some art at Musee d’Orsay
  6. Visit Sainte-Chapelle
  7. Theme park visit at Disneyland Paris

I clearly wanted to see and do more but we surely can save it for our next visit to France. There’s a lot more to see and do!

We stayed near the Arc de Triomphe so it was fun to say hi to this beaut every morning.

We were not able to take photos of the Eiffel Tower during the night because the sunset is so late. I think almost 9.30pm and both of us are super tired from all the walking each day for sight seeing. Hehe.

I’m not sure if a lot of people know that entering the Notre-Dame de Paris church is actually free and you won’t need to line up if you are going to attend the Mass. We just looked up the Mass schedules online and luckily we were on time for the International Mass at 11.30am. I was expecting that the whole of it was going to be conducted in english but it wasn’t. Most of it was still in French and the homily was summarized both in english and in spanish.

The church was so beautiful! It looked like a dream to me. The music was played using a very big organ which sounded so majestic specially during the end of the service.

We spent this day to see some art too at the Musee d’Orsay.

I just realized that Paris have a lot of churches and chapels. One of the most beautiful stained glass windows I’ve seen are from Sainte-Chapelle.

Here I am basking in all the Parisian sun at the Louvre.

One more awesome choice I did for my birthday was to go to Dinseyland Paris. We did get to enjoy a lot of the rides here too! I almost gave up on waiting for the fireworks because I was feeling so sleepy and tired after going all around the park but it was well worth it!

Most of all, I just simply enjoyed walking around the streets of Paris and the little view from our hotel balcony — and all the croissants I ate!

I also tried out the macarons from Pierre Hermé. The Céleste from their signature collection is the bomb! Really loved the passion fruit, rhubarb and strawberry combo.

That’s it! There goes my share of this sweet holiday in Paris. Hope you enjoyed this photo diary!

I was in Paris two years ago and I was able to do 1-6 of your list. 😀 Too bad I was not to go to Disneyland. It seems like you really enjoyed the “City of Love” with your love. 😛

Loved everything about Paris- minus the non stop smoke cigarette. Lovely pictures.

I feel you! Can people just quit smoking so we can breathe fresh air all the time? 🙂

Love it! Paris was a dream when I went and all the food there was so fresh and delicious. Even their bread and cheese tasted different. No wonder everyone in Europe is so thin – less preservatives in their food.

Paris is beautiful, and yours picture are great too. Food looks delicious, no wonder, as it is Europe.

Really nice photos you have there in Paris and glad you enjoyed to the fullest. The food, the architecture and the vibes, city of lights, who doesnt like it? I have been there few years ago and it was just too short for me to explore the city. And I didn’t have time to go in to the Notre Dame Catheral, only able to see it when I was doing a cruise in River Seine.

This looked like the perfect trip! I’ve never been to Paris but now I really, really want to book a trip of my own. The smile on your face when you are holding the croissants says it all!
