Sushi at Sumo Restaurant Stavanger - Kameeluh - Food

Sushi at Sumo Restaurant Stavanger

Here’s another foodie post! I just realized I haven’t written about this place. We’ve been here three times now and have always gone back for their sushi (well it’s still a close tie with Sabi Sushi LOL). The foodie industry here in Stavanger is not as big yet. I think mainly because of the population? That’s just my thoughts hehe. Sumo has been one of our go-to date place because 1. The interiors and the ambiance is so nice, 2. The food is amazing! 3. They play nice music and 4. Service is really good!

Sumo is a fun asian fusion restaurant. Fun for me because they added a lot of nifty details in their menu. Making it so special not only presentation wise but the quality of the food is superb!

So we invited my in-laws to join us for sushi night because I’m a sushi kinda girl. Hahaha! Mamma was not a fan of sushi but I told them to not fret about it because they have other meals she can try other than sushi. And I’m lucky because my in-laws are a big fan of asian food — so win-win! I still think that asian food is one of the best-est! LOL.

We shared a family combo sushi platter it comes with 51pcs of assorted sushi! How cool is that? hahaha. I feel this is a good value for money at 699nok. We are 3 people who shared this and we were all satisfied. I also ordered a tempura poke bowl because I really enjoyed it the last time we ordered it. Mamma ordered the sticky ribs as to which she said tasted really good! Pappa was also so impressed with the uniqueness of the sushi flavors. How about some strawberries and apple in your sushi? I think it’s a little bit weird, but it works!

Eating here has always been an enjoyable experience. You can bring your date, family or friends and it will be a sure hit. Even for kids! They have a bar which serves a lot of different cocktails as well. Although I haven’t tried them but, hey I’m sure we’ll be back and we can definitely try them next time.

The food looks really nice and I like that they get creative with the sushi flavors. It’s nice that they serve other dishes besides sushi, so that people who might not like it have choices.

My children are huge fans of sushi so this would be good fun for us since my son is such a big foodie and he likes to try out new dishes and even make them at home. The food looks delicious.
