Stavanger Eats - Yips Dumplings & Digg - Kameeluh

Stavanger Eats – Yips Dumplings & Digg

This has been a long overdue post for this restaurant. So far, I have just tried a few restaurants here in Stavanger since I moved here. I haven’t really been so picky lately as to where and what I want to eat so we always end up walking around the streets and picking out a resto that has an appetizing menu.

We were just walking along Pedersgata in Stavanger when we saw Yips and Thomas told me that he read about it in the news that they recently opened and that they are a group of friends who manages the business.

We looked in the menu and I was happy about it because they serve asian food.

We tried the Classic and Chicken Baos, Miso Ramen, Suimai Dumplings and Kimchi fries with chili mayo.

I really enjoyed everything we ordered! The best one for me was the dumpling — they were so meaty, juicy and flavorful. The baos were so good too! The fries come together with the baos when you order two of them. It tasted more of a cajun fries for me but since I like fried stuff, this will do too. LOL! As for the ramen, it’s not a ramen that I’m used to; like the ones I will normally get from Ippudo or other japanese ramen house. It was not a bad thing though and I was not expecting an authentic taste anyway because it’s a fusion. I just wish they will serve it in a deeper bowl so I can fully scoop out the broth.

Our overall experience was wonderful! I would want to eat here again and have some wine. But maybe I won’t go here when I’m super hungry because I feel like the portion of the serving are so small for the price.
