Still on a wedding high after a month! As you may have read from my previous post, our wedding happened last December 21. One of the things I requested as an essential part of our wedding preparations was to have a photographer at least during the ceremony and maybe a couple hours session afterwards. I thought it would be nice to have this moment captured and remembered through photos.
We were just lucky enough to have a nice weather during our wedding day. Winter season in Stavanger can be very unpredictable. I was wishing for snow actually on the day of the wedding so it would look nice in the photos. Hehe. But we were already expecting rain showers since it’s not often snowing in that area. But we were blessed enough with a crisp sunshine to start our day. The ceremony had to be at 12nn because we were trying to chase the sun. Sunrise at 9am and sunsets at around 3.30pm so..it has to be in between that.
I was so worried how I will survive the cold because my dress is sleeveless which I just paired with faux fur to cover me up. If you ask me why I chose that style when I already know it’s going to be cold, well, sometimes you would just want to choose style over comfort. LOL! and I was also thinking that I won’t be spending a lot of time outside and based on my tolerance with cold weather, I can pretty much handle it. When we first visited the church, that’s when thought I should have re-think this through. Hahaha. But then again, I tried to convince myself that I can solve this problem by just having enough warm clothes underneath. True enough, it has made me tolerate the 6c degree weather with winds at 26km/h.
I’m happy to report that we were successful in doing a photo session outside with the beautiful winter sun. Haha.
Everyone else was freezing except for me who is from a tropical country. LOL
Thomas and I would love to thank our families who had to endure freezing with us for the photos. Hihihi.
Also, we really loved working with Jeanette. She made it fun and easy for us!
Here are some more of our photos during the ceremony and from the view outside the beautiful church.
