Hello guys! I haven’t been on the blog for quite a while now. I have been busy with packing, traveling, moving, and unpacking. So here I am finally writing to share with you our honeymoon in Bali and as I like to call it — Balimoon. Thomas and I have decided to have our honeymoon in Bali due to time constraints and the things we needed to fix before I move to Norway (which maybe I will talk about in another blog entry, so stay tuned for that).
We have thought a lot about where we want the honeymoon to be; thinking about spectacular places like Fiji, Maldives, The Caribbean, or Bora-Bora (which is my ultimate dream!). Until we felt like we have been putting so much effort on thinking when and where we will celebrate our honeymoon — we decided on a spontaneous trip to Bali. I mean, hello?! Bali has always been in the list of popular honeymoon destinations.
So we decided to squeeze in a one week honeymoon before I move to Norway with Thomas. Picking out Bali was so easy because it ticks of almost all the things on our list. First we found cheap flights from Bangkok, there are nice beaches, good food, great value for money, and it’s not so far from Thailand. For the hotel, we chose to stay in Renaissance Bali Uluwatu for some much needed privacy and ultimate chillaxing. I actually gave Thomas the freedom to choose where to book our hotel since I have been so busy rambling with selling my stuff, packing, and finishing some loads of work.
What I love about this resort:
- The staff really took the time to get to know us and entertain us. The manager was there when we were checking in and he went up to us to have a little chat and gave us some tips to go around the resort and places we can visit.
- The breakfast spread is soooo good! It’s almost like a brunch buffet. They have vegetarian options, fresh smoothies assortment, bakery corner, asian corner, etc.. I love that it’s not easy to get tired of the options they serve each day. I would definitely go back just for the breakfast buffet. LOL! I think this is one of the reasons why Thomas booked this resort — because of the reviews he read about the breakfast.
- They have two restaurants in the resort — Clay Craft which serves international cuisine and Double Ikat which serves Balinese cuisine. The food is amazing!
- Since this resort is not beach front, they have a beach club which you can go to should you want to enjoy the beach. The transfers can take you to the beach every 30mins at the Roosterfish Beach Club
- The beds are so soft and the rooms are very spacious with a big shower and a bathtub.
- We also love that the gym is very functional. Thomas and I still wanted to work out during our honeymoon so this is a plus!
I really really enjoyed our honeymoon! We almost never wanted it to end. LOL. We spent almost 75% of the time in the resort enjoying our room, the pool, the beach club, and food!
Would definitely want to go back here when we have the chance.
The pictures are amazing, and this resort sounds like it’s truly world class. Thank you for sharing your experiences…
